Utah is governed by a unique "Theo-Democracy." What isn't noted in the story is the church failed to support last year's anti-discrimination for the entire state, but now wants to be seen as fair to LGBT people by supporting protections for 20% of the population. That is not supportive, that's cynical and disgusting! Shame, not only on the Church's elders, but on ALL Mormons for supporting such bigotry!
